Honored to have Babylon Falling included, and love to see people noticing our neighborhood which is, in my opinion, one of the best areas in the city…criminally slept on by locals and tourists alike. Rich literary and music history, great restaurants, coffee shops, and bars, and of course a natural variety of truly independent stores. A neighborhood where you can spend a whole day and not feel like you’re in an outdoor mall.

Of course an obligatory middle finger is extended to Walmart and the Walmart culture.

There are many good books and dvds out about Walmart but one of my favorites is a book called ‘Big Box Swindle’ by Stacy Mitchell.

Kensey, Jenni, and I trekked out to the annual Bay Area Anarchist Bookfair this past Saturday.

As always it was fun. We didn’t stay for any of the panel discussions or speakers but spent some time checking out what everyone brought out to the fair. Saw a freshly picked over stack of Ramparts and LA Free Press at the Bolerium Table (good pick up Billy). Picked up a couple new titles I hadn’t heard of before, bought an IWW penant, saw a few friendly faces and had an all around good time. On with the pictures…Thanks Kensey.

Boleriums were prone to sunning themselves on the warm stones of Roman roads. They were frequently squashed by chariots.”

Definitely not to be missed.

Although Babylon Falling won’t have a table we’ll be there and the store will be closed all day Saturday (re-open on Sunday). I’ll be the only asshole in attendance wearing Nikes…
